Thank you for making a difference in the lives of over 30,000 of Brevard’s children and families involved in the child welfare System of Care over the past decade. Together we have touched and transformed many lives.

When I think of a community that truly cares for its own, I am proud to say Brevard County is at the top of the list. We are fortunate to live in a place where residents come together often to serve, support, and strengthen the children, youth, individuals, and families who live among us.

It takes amazing, dedicated philanthropic volunteers willing to sacrifice and give of their time, treasure, and talent to make a collective impact. I am thankful that Brevard’s citizens give endlessly to ensure our families, friends, neighbors, students, parishioners, and those less fortunate among us, experience the hope and healing available to them in Brevard County.

As evidence of the degree of investment our community makes, in 2015, the Internal Revenue Service reported that over 2,100 nonprofit agencies operate in Brevard County; and over a 10 year period, the number of registered public charities grew by 32 percent.

While we are fortunate to live in such a giving community, during “Make a Difference to Children month, please remember there are still many unmet needs that remain among us and consider how you can invest your time, talent, or treasure to make a lasting and meaningful difference to a child. “To the world you may only be one person, but to one person you may be the world.”
