Brevard C.A.R.E.S. was recently awarded a $30,000 Children’s Mental Health System of Care Grant from the State of Florida Substance Abuse and Mental Health Office to provide Wraparound training for selected innovation sites, including Panama City, Tallahassee, and the Sun Coast Region of Pasco and Pinellas Counties. The grant was made available to provide agencies that are seeking improvement in their child abuse prevention and family preservation programs using the unique model of Wraparound and Family Team Conferencing developed and successfully implemented by Brevard C.A.R.E.S.
In partnership with Brevard Family Partnership’s newly established National Center for Innovation and Excellence, Brevard C.A.R.E.S. executive director, Valerie Holmes and Wraparound Fidelity Coordinator, Tracy Little are conducting the orientation and training sessions that began in early May and will continue through the end of June.
