Brevard CARES recently added several new staff members.  The agency provides front-end child abuse prevention services to Brevard County children and families through its innovative Wraparound Family Team Conferencing model. The additions will allow Brevard CARES to service more families that are experiencing stressors that may lead to child abuse.

Among the new hires are:
Amy Andrews, Care Coordinator. Andrews is a former Protective Investigator at the Children’s Advocacy Center and received the 2010 Child Abuse Prevention Task Force Award for Social Service Employee of the Year.

Kim Bane, Family Partner. Bane is a Brevard CARES alumnus, with unique advocacy skills, who specializes in navigating through the maze of multiple agencies and systems to receive necessary care and services, including children with special needs and the educational system.

Yolanda Martinez, Care Coordinator. Martinez formerly served as a Care Manager with Devereux Florida. She has extensive experience in the child welfare system and with an emphasis on working with teenagers.

Yvette McCain, Care Coordinator. Like Martinez, McCain served as a Care Manager with Devereux Florida in North Brevard and is an advocate for the values and principles of the Wraparound philosophy.

All of the new staff members will work out of the agency’s headquarters located at 4085 S. US 1, in Rockledge.
