Dear Community Partner,

As you are aware, on June 22, 2015, Brevard Family Partnership (BFP) will begin providing the direct oversight and management of foster homes. This includes coordinating placement and respite, the recruitment, training, and initial licensing and re-licensing of foster homes. In addition, on July 1, 2015, MRT will also be transferring over to Brevard C.A.R.E.S.

Our foster parents are a valued member of our team, and BFP is working diligently to ensure a seamless transition occurs. BFP’s chief priority is to ensure continuity of care for our caregivers and the children entrusted to our care. We believe the decision to bring foster care in-house will strengthen our partnership with our foster parent partners and reduce any barriers to ensuring the needs of the children and families are met more efficiently and effectively while creating stability in the system.

BFP has demonstrated its firm commitment to serving our most vulnerable citizens for over a decade; and their well-being along with access to the highest quality service delivery system possible is of the utmost importance. We want to make sure our community partners are informed and included in any changes to the local SOC.

The on-call placement phone number will remain the same, 321-298-6550 and effective July 1st, the MRT phone number will be transferred and will remain the same, 321-213-0315.

In addition, if you have referrals or questions regarding becoming a foster parent, please forward them on to us.

We truly appreciate your continued dedication and commitment to Brevard’s most vulnerable children, and we value your partnership.

For more information about this transition, please contact Valerie Holmes at 321-752-4650 extension 3004 or LaChrista Jones at extension 3053.
