MELBOURNE, FL – March 31, 2014 – April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month and two local area restaurants are supporting Brevard County’s unique child abuse prevention and family preservation organization, Brevard C.A.R.E.S. by hosting “Dine Out” events at their establishments. A portion of proceeds from sales will be donated directly to Brevard C.A.R.E.S. to support programs and services that help families in crisis avoid putting their children at risk of abuse or neglect.
On Thursday, April 10, Ruby Tuesday at 3780 S. Fiske Blvd. in Rockledge will donate 20% of sales to Brevard C.A.R.E.S. and Friday, April 11 Uno Chicago Grill at 8260 N. Wickham Rd. will contribute 20% of their sales. The 20% donation from both restaurants will apply to the full bill amount, excluding tax and tip. Guests wishing to have their dining bill counted toward the donations must present a special Dine Out coupon available on www.brevardcares.org or on the Brevard C.A.R.E.S. Facebook page.

Since inception, Brevard C.A.R.E.S. has provided support to over 13,000 children representing more than 6,000 families in Brevard County. Less than 10% of families have been referred to Brevard C.A.R.E.S. more than once.
