Greetings Friends,
As we approach the end of 2015 and set aside time to celebrate the holiday season with friends and family I would like to express my gratitude to you, our partners, donors, foster and adoptive families, volunteers, staff and community leaders. This has been a year to remember as we celebrated the Decade of Difference that together we have made in the lives of Brevard’s children, youth and families.
My heart is touched by the generosity of our many holiday gift drive donors who year after year share kindness and joy with the children entrusted to our care. Thank you for being a part of a community that cares. When we set the goal of raising $100,000 to fund Brevard’s first child welfare endowment, many thought the goal lofty in this economic environment. Yet, the Brevard community stepped up and not only met the challenge but exceeded it. On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you. You have invested in leaving a legacy.
As we embark on 2016 and the many challenges we face caring for increasingly more children entering the child welfare system, I have confidence that we as a community will once again rise to the occasion to ensure our children remain safe, healthy and are provided every opportunity to thrive.
