MELBOURNE, Fla. – April 24, 2015 – Brevard Family Partnership needs your help to provide care and support for the children in Brevard County who suffer abuse and neglect.
On any given day, there are more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States, with over 8,000 children in foster care in the State of Florida, and over 270 of those children are in Brevard County. They are removed from their homes through no fault of their own, but because they have been abused and neglected.
The plea for foster families has never been greater to help so many children in need! For many foster children and teens, placement in the right home the first time predicts their success in foster care. At Brevard Family Partnership, Brevard’s lead child welfare agency, taking the time to find a good match between a child and a family and securing a loving home is a top priority.
