In the 2014 session, the Florida Legislature enacted Florida Statute 402.403, the Child Protection and Child Welfare Personnel Loan Forgiveness Program. The program was designed to recruit and retain high performing child protective investigators, case managers and case management supervisors who have either a bachelors or masters degree in social work.
Annual payments of up to $3,000 are available to those who qualify and can cover loan costs for tuition, books, fees and living expenses. The application period is October 1 – 31, 2014.
