Jul. 19, 2010 - Total Care IT makes $10K equipment donation to Brevard Family Partnership
Brevard Family Partnership recently accepted a gift over $10,000 in network technology equipment from Total Care IT, in collaboration with Tech Data Corporation. Three Brocade switches were donated which will allow more active data ports operating at a higher speed, from 100 Mb/second to 1 Gb/second, resulting in additional employee productivity and efficiency.

Brevard County Dependency Court Judge Charlie Crawford will celebrate Family Reunification Day on Friday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in his courtroom at the Moore Justice Center – 2825 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera. The event will honor those parents who have successfully completed a case plan and regained custody of their children.

Ropert has been working for the agency since 2008 as a communication consultant; initially as an independent contractor and later as a member of the Brevard Family Partnership staff.

Children in Brevard County’s foster care system and the Brevard C.A.R.E.S. abuse prevention program can look forward to gifts for the Holidays thanks to several local businesses and organizations, including Gatto’s Tires and Auto Service. Brevard Family Partnership’s annual Holiday gift drive will benefit the many children who will not be spending the Holidays in their own homes.

Brevard Family Partnership’s signature child abuse prevention program, Brevard C.A.R.E.S. (Coordination, Advocacy, Resources, Education and Support) will soon be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the county’s lead child welfare agency, with a new, free-standing location, management team and a mission to continue to reduce the number of children entering the foster care system through abuse prevention.

In an effort to raise awareness of the many children in Brevard County available for adoption and in recognition of National Adoption Month, Brevard Family Partnership, in partnership with the Avenue Viera will host its fourth annual “Walk for Love” on Saturday, November 14. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Brevard Family Partnership (BFP) has been awarded a grant from the Community Foundation of Brevard to provide supplemental educational services to youth who have aged out of foster care so that they may acquire their GED and pass the FCAT. The award was presented at a Grant Award Ceremony on September 1, at the Space Coast Early Intervention Center in Melbourne.
